A rare superfood
Mānuka honey isn’t just typical honey—it’s a rare treasure with extraordinary benefits. For centuries, honey has been a trusted source of nourishment, but Mānuka honey takes it to the next level. It is one of nature’s most potent superfoods, thanks to its antibacterial and antioxidant properties that enhance energy, wellness, and overall vitality.
While local honey is just okay. If you want to give your body the best, Mānuka honey stands out because of its non-peroxide antibacterial activity, quality, and exclusive origin (New Zealand). Also, its bioactive compounds—MGO, DHA, HMF, and Leptosperin—create a potent elixir exceptional for fighting germs, reducing swelling, and maintaining health. These antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and prebiotic properties are unique to Mānuka honey variety.
Yes, our organic Mānuka honey is raw, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. This means it keeps all its natural enzymes, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and other good stuff. We believe in going all in transparency mode with you, so here’s more about our process: after harvesting, we ensure the raw honey never goes above 95°F (which is the internal temperature of a healthy beehive) in any part of the process, during extraction, straining, jarring, and storing, so rest assured there’s no pasteurization at any time. Filtering honey usually means heating it to make it more liquid, but that would mean it isn’t raw anymore. We use a 200-micron strainer to remove bee parts and large wax pieces while keeping the pollen, propolis, and all the micro-nutrients.

From New Zealand's heart to your home
It all begins in the wild hills of Moeawatea, Taranaki, New Zealand, where organic Mānuka bushes thrive naturally. Here, we carefully harvest the purest raw honey, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a deep commitment to excellence.
We harvest our Mānuka honey directly from Moeawatea, Taranaki, New Zealand. It is 100% organic, certified by ‘BioGro NZ Ltd,’ and internationally recognized as equivalent to USDA organic certification. This ensures that our honey meets the highest organic production standards, and each batch is meticulously crafted without synthetic pesticides or herbicides (including glyphosate) and guaranteeing pure, natural goodness in every jar. Additionally, it is independently tested for MGO grades, DHA, HMF, and Leptosperin bioactive compounds. Each batch has been tested, and the lab report is available for all our customers; please kindly ask for it via customer success with your order number. Rest assured, our Mānuka honey is genuine! We have the real deal, honey 🤝.
This elixir is more than a natural sweetener. It contains powerful nutrients and bioactive compounds that support your immune system and help heal your gut. It fights off viruses, reduces inflammation, and protects your body from damage caused by harmful substances called oxidants. Additionally, it is used to heal wounds, soothe sore throats, prevent tooth decay, and improve digestion. So, when you eat Mānuka honey, you're boosting your body to stay strong, healthy, and happy.

Inspiring wellness, one jar at a time
At RARE BEEHIVE, we are committed to your well-being. Each jar of our Mānuka honey reflects our dedication to purity, premium quality, and sustainability. From our hives to your home, we maintain the highest standards of integrity and transparency, ensuring every drizzle brings you closer to a healthier, happier life.
This misconception has been spread over the years, but the truth is that honey crystallization is normal. In fact, genuine raw honey will crystallize due to glucose; bits of pollen in raw honey provide an excellent substrate to encourage crystallization.
Yes! Many people, including vegans, avoid honey because some companies don't care about bees. At RARE BEEHIVE, we are proud to get our Mānuka honey from New Zealand in a way that keeps our bees happy and healthy throughout their lifespan. We love our bees! They are the true stars. 🐝❤️

Beehive built with values
We invite you to become part of a community that values family, faith, and life’s simple pleasures. Here at RARE BEEHIVE, it’s about more than just honey—it’s about embracing health and wellness, creating meaningful memories, and of course, enjoying the magic of Mānuka honey.
Why do we offer two MGO grades?
We prioritize simplicity and effectiveness.Whether you're seeking a daily sweetener or a wellness enhancer, our two grades of honey are crafted to perfectly meet your needs.
Methylglyoxal (MGO) is the distinctive naturally occurring antibacterial compound in Mānuka honey. A higher MGO value indicates increased antibacterial activity and higher levels of other actives like DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), HMF (Hydroxymethylfurfural), and Leptosperin, beneficial compounds in Mānuka honey. In simple terms, the higher the MGO grade, the more potent the honey is.
261+ MGO: This is like medium-strength level honey. It's great if you're starting to try Mānuka honey and want a healthy sweetener that still offers fantastic antibacterial properties.
512+ MGO: This is the gold standard, strong-level honey. It's much more potent, perfect if you want extra health benefits with more powerful and effective non-peroxide antibacterial activity. Think of it as a wellness superhero.
